My name is Erin – lifelong resident of the Great Lakes region and advocate of our beautiful lakes, trails, waterways, and open spaces throughout the region. Since I was very young, I have been fortunate to travel throughout the U.S. and Canada, exploring national parks and monuments, mountains and coastlines. I am a science educator of 20+ years, and in my spare time enjoy silent sports of all types. I am an avid runner, hiker, biker, skier, photographer, farmer’s market aficionado, and as an added bonus – beachcomber. I love to share my passion and excitement for silent sports, travel, food, and adventure in the beautiful Great Lakes region.
From a remote stretch of a Great Lakes beach, to a wooded segment of the Ice Age Trail or a silent snowy stretch of a cross country ski trail, to the charm of a small Wisconsin town, to a comforting meal at a local supper club, to the bustle of a capitol city, there is an adventure for everyone – at every age and stage of life. My motto is to start each day with a grateful heart, find meaning in small experiences, and be kind to everyone you meet.
I’d love to hear from you! I’d love to learn more about the topics/specific areas within the Great Lakes region that you’d like to learn more about. Feel free to leave a comment or subscribe to my newsletter.
Thanks for visiting my blog!
